Indere skal agere jødefyld på Vestbredden

Filed under: Occupation, West Bank, Zionism — admin @ 7:12 am

The Israeli government is reported to have quietly approved the fast-track immigration of 7,000 members of a supposedly “lost Jewish” tribe, known as the Bnei Menashe, currently living in a remote area of India.Under the plan, the “lost Jews” would be brought to Israel over the next two years by right-wing and religious organisations who, critics are concerned, will seek to place them in West Bank settlements in a bid to foil Israel’s partial agreement to a temporary freeze of settlement growth.

Press freedom: Israel in free fall

Illegal occupation and extreme ethno-nationalism makes it increasingly difficult for Israel to uphold the image of being a normal, liberal democratic nation. The little Levantine Sparta state is being accused of apartheid, steadily rising levels of racism against the palestinians, war crimes in Gaza, and now the latest Press Freedom Index from Reporters Sans Frontiers which states that Israel is ‘in free fall’:

Operation Cast Lead, Israel’s military offensive against the Gaza Strip, had an impact on the press. As regards its internal situation, Israel sank 47 places in the index to 93rd position. This nose-dive means it has lost its place at the head of the Middle Eastern countries, falling behind Kuwait (60th), United Arab Emirates (86th) and Lebanon (61st).

Israel has begun to use the same methods internally as it does outside its own territory. Reporters Without Borders registered five arrests of journalists, some of them completely illegal, and three cases of imprisonment. The military censorship applied to all the media is also posing a threat to journalists.

As regards its extraterritorial actions, Israel was ranked 150th. The toll of the war was very heavy. Around 20 journalists in the Gaza Strip were injured by the Israeli military forces and three were killed while covering the offensive.

Spying for Israel

Filed under: USA, Undercover — Tags: — admin @ 7:24 am

This is how Israel thanks her great benefactor, The United States: By spying intensively on the country that every year gives Israel +3 billion dollars – no strings attached – and protects Israel from legitimate criticism and UN resolutions condemning Israeli behaviour towards the Arabs:

A Maryland scientist who once worked in varying capacities for the Department of Energy, the Department of Defense and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration has been arrested for attempted espionage, David Kris, Assistant Attorney General for National Security, Channing D. Phillips, Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, and Joseph Persichini, Jr., Assistant Director for the FBI’s Washington Field Office, announced today.

A criminal complaint unsealed today in the District of Columbia charges Stewart David Nozette, 52, of Chevy Chase, Maryland, with attempted espionage for knowingly and willfully attempting to communicate, deliver, and transmit classified information relating to the national defense of the United States to an individual that Nozette believed to be an Israeli intelligence officer. The complaint does not allege that the government of Israel or anyone acting on its behalf committed any offense under U.S. laws in this case.

That last sentence is surprising. If it’s not unlawful to pay spies for transmitting classified information from a friendly state, then it is certainly immoral.

Israeli undercover activities against Unites States has an impressive record.

Israelis protest Turkish drama series

Jews sans frontieres cites israeli criticism of a Turkish drama series. In the tv series, Israeli soldiers are portrayed as ‘murderers of innocent children’, which – according to various human rights organizations, and lately the report on Operation Cast Lead in Gaza, of South African Jurist, Richard Goldstone – is not very far from the truth.
